The short answer: Create or upgrade an account for selling, complete the seller approval information, build the shop profile, configure fulfillment and payout settings, add accurate inventory, and review the public storefront before accepting orders.
Prepare the business and fulfillment details
Seller onboarding asks the marketplace to trust your business with customers, payments, products, and fulfillment. Prepare accurate identity, contact, business, tax, shop, and payout information before starting. Requirements can vary by seller type, location, category, and connected payment provider.
Decide whether you will sell new products, used products, restaurant items, services, or another enabled type. That choice affects catalog data, condition details, inventory, pickup, delivery, shipping, and possibly POS tools.
- Legal or business identity information requested by the marketplace.
- A monitored email address and phone number.
- Shop name, description, logo, banner, and customer-facing policies.
- Product sources, inventory process, handling time, shipping or pickup plan.
- An eligible payout destination and any provider verification documents.
Submit a complete seller application
-
1
Sign in to the account that will own the shop
Use a durable business-controlled identity rather than a temporary or shared login.
-
2
Open Become a Seller
Complete every required seller, business, and contact field.
-
3
Provide requested verification
Upload clear, current documents when the application requests them.
-
4
Monitor the application status
Respond to requests for correction instead of creating a duplicate seller account.
Build a shop customers can understand
After approval, open Manage Shop. Add a recognizable shop name, concise description, logo, banner, contact context, and the policies customers need before purchasing. Preview the public shop and check it on both desktop and mobile.
A shop page is an SEO and trust surface. Use original language that explains what you sell, where you fulfill, and what makes the assortment useful. Avoid copying manufacturer or competitor descriptions across the entire shop.
Use the seller dashboard tour to learn where shop, inventory, sales, promotions, and reports live.
Add products, stock, and fulfillment rules
Join an existing marketplace catalog product when it is the exact item, or create a custom catalog request when allowed. Then create the seller offer with SKU, price, stock, options, condition, images, availability, and fulfillment settings.
Configure shipping profiles, package dimensions, and pickup addresses when applicable. Set return and cancellation windows once under Manage Shop → General and describe eligible/excluded items under Store details & policies. Tax categories and site-wide URLs are managed by EzBuyCo. Review Store POS or local-delivery settings only when those connections are available. The detailed workflows are covered in products and inventory and order fulfillment.
Understand fees before the first sale
EzBuyCo’s marketplace commission is 5% of the commissionable sale amount, and the separately labeled transaction fee is 2.9% per seller invoice. Optional promotion, shipping-service, dispute, currency, or provider-controlled payout charges can also affect settlement.
Review the fee guide before setting prices. Complete payout setup early so provider identity or bank verification does not become a surprise after sales begin.
Run a final readiness check
- Seller account and shop are approved and publicly accessible.
- Contact, policy, shipping, pickup, tax, and payout details are accurate.
- Listings have original titles, useful descriptions, images, prices, SKUs, and stock.
- Test the customer journey from discovery through the available checkout steps.
- Know who monitors new orders, messages, low inventory, cancellations, and returns.
- Open reports and the credit ledger so you know where sales and earnings will appear.
